My Everyday Flawless Face

Hello!

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, it went way too fast, as usual!

I wanted to do a bit of a tutorial on my everyday flawless face!

This is the makeup I wear day to day when I am not in class!

I usually wear this to work, out to lunch, etc. etc. (My Nighttime makeup routine coming soon!)

I hope ya'll enjoy this and hopefully it is helpful!

Once again, you will see me with no makeup.... Prepare yourself...

FACE: First I start off with a clean face and I use my moisturizer SkinMD (Walgreens)  After that absorbs into my skin, I use the Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel to prime my skin! (I have used SO many primers from Smashbox to Too Faced, and I totally like this one the best!)

I then apply my foundation.  Lately I have been using the Make Up For Ever HD foundation in 117. (NC20 in Mac)  I have really been loving it lately! I conceal any blemishes or redness with the Amazing Cosmetics Concealer (Light Golden). NOTE: A cheaper alternative is the Hard Candy Glamoflauge, MUCH cheaper and same coverage!

I conceal my under eye circles with the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer.  I use the shade Radiant to brighten my eyes!  I then powder just my T-Zone with the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder! (Love!)

I dust the Nars Laguna Bronzer on my hairline, under my cheekbones, and under my jawline.  I also dust what is left on my brush down my nose and on my chin! (I use the Real Techniques Powder brush!)  I also use Nars Deep Throat Powder Brush on the apples of my cheeks! (love this shade!)  I then spray the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to set my makeup!

For my eyes:  I use my Mac Painterly Paint Pot to prime my lids. I use Mac All That Glitters on the lid and Mac Soba in the crease!  I use Mac Blanc Type as my highlight!  I use the Jordana Fabuliner in Black to do my slight wing on the upper lashline! (Recent find and loving it!)

I then fill in my brows with Revlon Brow Fantasy and coat my lashes in L'Oreal Voluminious Full Definition Mascara! (HG)

For my lips I use Too Faced La Creme lipstick in Nude Beach with Mac Love Nectar on top!

The Before and After:

I hope y'all enjoyed this and let me know if you want a review on any of these products!!

What is your everyday makeup routine?

Revlon Photoready BB Cream: Review

Hi Ya'll!

I wanted to do a review on my current weekly face product I have been using lately.

I say "weekly" because I am a college student with early classes, which means I don't want anywhere near a full-face of make-up daily.  I try and not wear foundation during the week because I believe that it is better for my skin...Whether that is true or not, I'm not sure.

So, I have been testing out a BB cream for about a month or so, and I have to say I have really been enjoying it!

I have been using the Revlon Photoready BB Cream in the shade Light.

The following might scare you... It's me with no makeup.... at all....

Also, keep in mind, this was very early this morning so my hair is little to be desired and so on...

So let's get to the review shall we?

I have pretty normal balanced skin but I do have hyper-pigmentation from breakouts on my skin.  I wanted something light, but some coverage at the same time.

Absolutely no Makeup, Only SkinMD moisturizer!!!! AHHHHH!

I needed an easy all-in-one product to just get me out the door to class. I wanted it to last throughout the day so I didn't have to worry about it going class to class!

This is about how much product I use!

I usually apply this with my fingers.  I put it all over my face and blend it out.  Sometimes, if I'm feeling fancy, I will use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.
...And this does just that.  My face is more even, the spots on my face are concealed and it lasts all day long for me! I absolutely am loving this product!  See the pictures and decide for yourself!

This is JUST with the BB cream, No concealer or powder of any kind! Amazing difference, eh?
I have not broken out from this product, which is a huge plus for me!

I got this at Walgreens for around $10 bucks.

I recommend this product if you want a light feel, with some coverage.

This is another picture to show that all my problem areas are concealed once more! (Note: I don't like to take selfies, so therefore, this kinda thing is what you get.)

Have you tried any BB creams that you're loving?

Nars Multiple in Orgasm: Review

Hi!

I wanted to do a quick review in the Nars Multiple in Orgasm. (I always get an uncomfortable feeling every time I write that.)

Anyways...

I LOVE Nars Orgasm powder blush! Even though I say I don't like glitter blushes, this to me, is the exception. I love the peachy-pink tone with gold shimmer to death!

So,

I thought well hey, if I like the blush so much, why not try it in the multiple?

When I swatched it at the store, I thought it was *super* pretty, as did my not-so-much-makeup-loving sister. She told me to buy it, and I did.

Of course I couldn't wait to try it out.  Upon applying it to my cheeks, I saw very, very sheer color and lots and lots of GLITTER! No....

Not only that, no matter how many times after that I tried to get it to work for me, I just couldn't.  It always ended up like a light, sheer, pink color with a whole lot of glitter.

Don't be fooled by the swatch on my hand because as soon as it hits my face, absolutely a no-go.

I can honestly say that I really hate this product with a passion.

Despite the horrendous glitterball that was my face, it wasn't even creamy or easily blendable!

Seriously, I am so sad and a bit hesitant of trying another Nars Multiple.

I would not recommend this product to anyone because even if you like heavy shimmer, there is no pigmentation! None.

I would definitely recommend Nars powder blush in Orgasm, however, because that is a fantastic blush!

Do you like any of the Nars Multiples?

E.L.F. Studio Blush Candid Coral: Review

Hey Everyone!

I thought I'd do another quick review on a drugstore blush!

This was my first ELF blush purchase.

I got the shade Candid Coral because I LOVE coral blush shades.

This blush was 3 bucks. That's right, 3 dollars. AMAZING!

Now, is it any good?

Yes!

First off the packaging looks very, very similar to Nars.  Which I like.  It has simple black rubber casing that just looks much more expensive than 3 bucks, that's for sure!

The product inside is awesome too! It's a light peachy-coral that adds a nice glow to my cheeks! No glitter, YAY! Nothing gets me madder than a blush of full glitter! Just kidding, but not entirely.....

It blends perfectly and looks so natural!

NOTE: This doesn't have *great* pigmentation, but, that is okay with me because I am pale, and like a slight sheen for daywear!

....and once again THIS WAS 3 DOLLARS!!!!!

Fits my college budget quite nicely!

I totally recommend this if you are looking for an inexpensive blush that gives a nice peach/coral sheen!

What ELF Studio Blush should I try next?

Mac Stereo Rose: Review

Hello All!!

I wanted to do a quick review on Mac's Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish.

Stereo Rose has sort of a cult following so I knew I had to own it!

I bought this about a month ago in the Apres Chic collection and is quickly becoming a favorite!

The actual product itself is gorgeous: a coral color with gold and dark coral veining throughout.

I was a little weary of trying out this product in fears that it would look like a glitterbomb... (Because sometimes I feel the Mineralize Skinfinishes could do that to someone...)

Anyways, despite my fear, I bought this and tried it out, and I am so glad I did!

It is the perfect shade of dark(er) coral with a sheen that makes my skin look glowy and fresh!

I think it is the perfect coral for the colder months!

I love coral but sometimes I feel coral colors should be used more in summer like Benefit's Coralista, but this color, in my opinion could easily be worn year-round!

Basically, this color is lovely and I recommend this product to anyone as it would suit most if not all skintones!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week!

What is your favorite Mac Mineralize Skinfinish?

Current Skincare Routine

Hi, Everyone!

How is everyone's week?

I wanted to share with you my current skincare routine!

Note: I do struggle with some breakouts from time to time, and I have combination skin and oily on the T-zone!

For about 6 months I had been using the Proactive 3-step system.  However, this system was expensive, and was a hassle to purchase, and a bit too drying for my skin in the winter time. I knew I wanted to find a toner similar to the Proactive one with Glycolic Acid in it.

So, through much research I discovered a new routine that has been working quite well lately.

I went to Ulta and purchased 3 different products from the Mario Badescu line. (I have heard such good things from this line and I was excited to try it!)

I purchased the Enzyme Cleansing Gel, Glycolic Acid Toner, and the buffering lotion.

At night I use the Enzyme Cleansing gel with my Clarisonic Mia, then use the toner on a clean, dry face.

I use the buffering lotion every other night on places prone to break outs!

This routine has been working very well for me in keeping my breakouts under control!

For moisturizer, I use Origins Vitazing in the morning and SkinMD (Walgreens) at night!

I also use the Freeman's Mint and Lemon Clay Mask and the Bliss That's Incredi-peel about once a week! (Review coming soon!)

What is your current skincare routine?

Milani Luminoso Baked Blush: Review

Hello, Everyone!

I wanted to do a quick review of one of the best drugstore blushes around, in my opinion!

I have seen countless of rave reviews for this particular blush so I KNEW I had to go try it out for myself! Obviously!!

It's the Milani Luminoso Baked Blush, if you couldn't tell from the title!

I found mine at CVS for around 9 bucks, after having no luck finding it at Walgreens.

The packaging looks a bit cheap, but what can you expect from a drugstore product, really?

But, the actual blush inside is absolutely AMAZING!

It's a very luminous peach color that adds the perfect glow to the cheeks!

I HATE glitter, and sometimes I even hate shimmer, depending, but this has neither! It just has a nice sheen that looks gorgeous!

People say that this is a dupe for Nars Orgasm. I disagree because Orgasm is more shimmery and pink while Luminoso is a peach sheen!

I highly recommend this blush, because it's not only cheap, but absolutely gorgeous!

Go try it out for yourself!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Review: Diorshow Mascara

Hello, Everyone!

I just wanted to do a quick review on Dior's Diorshow mascara!

I bought this $24.50 at Sephora awhile back and I wanted to give it a proper review!

I have fairly long eyelashes to begin with and I am mainly looking for a mascara that makes my lashes look full!

In comes Diorshow!

(Excuse the no makeup in this picture but I felt it really showed my lashes)

This is a good mascara, yes, but is it worth the hefty price-tag?

Not for me, honestly.

Yes, my lashes look long, but they look long with my new favorite, L'Oreal Full Definition Mascara as well.

It definitely defined my lashes and made them look long, but the full-ness aspect was a fail for me.

I would recommend this product to those who have short lashes because this mascara definitely lengthens the look of your lashes tremendously!

I definitely want to try out the burgundy shade of this particular mascara!

What mascara have you been loving lately?

One December Regret

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone is doing well!!

I had many favorites this month (click for that post) but I also had one (expensive) regret as well.

From the beginning:

I received a rather hefty priced gift card from someone special this Christmas and decided to buy my first Dior eyeshadow quint. I thought well heck, if I am every going to buy one of these bad boys, it might as well be on someone else's dime, right?

Anyways, so I was browsing the quints on Sephora's website and decided to go with the mauve/purple quint called "Stylish Move."  It looked so pretty and it contained unusual colors for me.  I usually tend to have more neutral-toned shadows.  But, I thought, purple brings out green eyes, and what better way to test drive a purple look than a fancy sophisticated Dior palette?

Wrong.

I have never in my life returned a makeup item. EVER. I returned this a few days after it was in the mail.  (Lucky, I got one picture of it before I sent it off, look at the end of post.)

This palette had NO pigmentation whatsoever, and I am pretty lenient when it comes to pigmentation, because I like a more natural look.  But, literally, 4 out of the 5 colors didn't even show up on my skin! And I am white as a piece of paper, people!

The only color that showed up on my was the dark, dark purple color. Which, if you think about it, basically since one color worked, that palette would essentially equal 60 bucks for one eyeshadow. Sorry, but no.

Returned.

I definitely DO NOT recommend this Dior quint and I am going to be very hesitant to buy another now.

Picture:

So pretty, too bad the colors don't transfer....

Did you regret buying any products this month??

Hopefully everyone is having a great week so far!!

XOXO Mandy

December Favorites

Hi All!!

Sorry it has been awhile since my first post: Finals, Christmas break, and such sort of consumed my life there for a bit!

But, now I am back in action with a list of what I have been LOVING for the past month! (A little late, I know)

But nonetheless, I have some very top-notch products (in my opinion) to share with you!

The first product that I have been loving lately is the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray!  Honestly, when I first heard of makeup setting sprays, I kind of didn't think much of them.  I didn't really understand the concept of spraying what looked like water onto my finished makeup look.  But, let me tell you I have been proven wrong!

This stuff is awesome! It makes my makeup last ALL day, and if there are any signs of cakiness, this totally eliminates it!  What I do is put all my face makeup on: foundation, concealer, bronzer, etc. and spray about 5 sprays of this onto my face and let dry! It's perfection!

My second favorite of the month is Mac's Expensive Pink eyeshadow!  This is a golden-sheened pink that makes my green eyes pop! The color is amazing as well as the formulation! I love this eyeshadow!

My next favorite has been the Hervana boxed blush by Benefit!  During Christmas break, I had been working back at home as a hostess and needed a more subdued makeup look and this blush is perfect for that! It adds a subtle pink flush that looks great with any eye look!  I just swirl my brush into the colors and blend it into the apples of my cheeks!

Finally, my last favorite can be found at the drugstore! It is the Loreal Voluminous Full-Definition Mascara! (the one in the gold tube)  This product is awesome! I have long lashes to begin with but this mascara takes it to the next level! They look so long, thick and fluttery! I love this product so much and I definitely will keep repurchasing!

These products have been used almost daily in my makeup routine! I will definitely be repurchasing all of these products if I were to ever run out!

What are your favorites from this month??

Hope y'all have been doing well, and been enjoying the new year!!

Have a fabulous day!!

XOXO Mandy
